Oneroa Beach
It's a wonderful, safe all tide, white sand swimming beach. Oneroa Bay is a favourite for boats and yachts to anchor overnight which makes for an enchanting view on dark.
Little Oneroa
This beach is excellent for families with young children offering all tide swimming. There is a covered playground for the children, free gas BBQ's and picnic tables. You will find the Little Oneroa Beach Store, Oneroa Takeaways & Dragonfired Pizza Trailer which are all great should you wish to have lunch or dinner at the beach.
Palm Beach
Located just 4 km from Oneroa Village you will find the white sands of Palm Beach a favourite with visitors and locals alike. This is a beautiful safe all tide swimming beach. There is also a secluded 'clothing optional' beach located around the rocks at the far west end of the Palm Beach. There are two BBQ areas and a children's playground.
Do take the opportunity to enjoy fish & chips or a gourmet burger from the popular Palm Beach Takeaways.
Onetangi Beach
The longest beach on Waiheke, approximately 1.8 km long. It is easy to find a spot on this beach just to yourself, even in the high season. Depending on the weather conditions Onetangi Beach can provide some good waves for body boarding or surfing.
There are free public gas BBQ's and picnic tables along with two cafe's which overlook the beach.
Enclosure Bay
Enclosed by rocks it is like a huge swimming pool and is great for snorkeling. It is easy to access being right beside the road. Recommended at mid to high tide.
Surfdale Beach
Surdale is very tidal being on the southern side of the island and is a great swimming beach for a couple of hours before and after high tide. There are water ski lanes set up, making the wide bay a great place for boating activities.
Surfdale's small village has a number of food stores, cafes & restaurants.
