Travelling to Waiheke Island

Getting to Waiheke Island is easy, with a quick 35-minute ferry ride from the Ferry Building in downtown Auckland. 

The journey will take you through the Hauraki Gulf, sailing past other islands in the harbour and finally arriving at Matiatia, Waiheke Island

Ferries also operate from Half Moon Bay as well as from the centre of Auckland City arriving at Kennedy Point Wharf, Waiheke Island. 

This is operated by Sealink Ferries providing both passenger and a vehicle drive on and off service.

Fullers ferries provide the most regular service to Waiheke Island with ferries departing from downtown Auckland (some via Devonport) to Matiatia, Waiheke.
